Beauty hacks for swimmers:

Swimming is not only a great way to burn your calories in a fun way. But, it is also an interesting way to relax and rejuvenate your mind, body and soul. However, the apprehensions regarding beauty that come as a package when taking a dip in the chlorinated water are unavoidable. The chemicals in the pool can strip off the layer of protective natural oil and shine from your skin and hair. Henceforth, following some tips and tricks can reduce the damage caused to your skin and hair.

Before Swimming:

1. Swimwear:
It is important to invest in a good quality swimwear. It is also advisable to choose a certain style of swimwear which reduces skin exposure. This minimizes the area of skin surface that gets tanned.

2. Sunscreen:
Make a point to slather the sunscreen with a high SPF, 15-20 minutes before you intend to swim. This will give your skin plenty of time to safeguard itself from the sun and the chlorine.

3.Leave-in-conditioner or hair oil:

Immediately after swimming, take enough time under the shower to wash away all the possible chlorine that your body came in contact with. It will be beneficial to take a shower with lukewarm water. This will ensure that your skin isn’t robbed of its natural oil.

6. Shampoo and Condition:
A thorough hair wash with any shampoo is critical to cleanse off all the chemicals that can damage your hair. Also, don’t forget to apply a conditioner to restore the moisture.

7. Mosturiser:
Lastly, don’t forget to moisturize your skin with a cream or lotion of your choice to rejuvenate the suppleness of your skin.

8: Hydrate:
Always keep your body well hydrated by sipping in some fluid. In can be in the form of any fruit juice or plain drinking water.
