Long lustrous hair is a dream of every woman. To achieve that is not an easy task. Nature is a store house of beauty products that promise healthy, clean and radiant hair. It is up to us to tap this and use it to our advantage. Our hair suffers a lot due to the harmful effects of pollution, stress and sunlight. The product that are available in the market don’t usually deliver what they promise .This leaves the hair looking dull and lifeless. What you eat also reflects in the way hair looks.
Hair-fall is one of the most common problems for both men and women. This is due to an unhealthy lifestyle, pollution, stress, poor diet, hormonal changes, lack of vitamins and usage of detergents. These are believed to be the main reasons for the loss of hair.

Any kind of physical stress, surgery, a car accident, or a severe illness, even the flu can cause hair loss. Pregnancy is another factor that can cause hair loss (that and hormones). It is more commonly noticed after your baby has been delivered rather than actually during pregnancy. 
Some people suffer from severe hair loss due to thyroid problems. Whenever the thyroid glands produce an excess amount of thyroid hormones or a less amount of thyroid hormones, it is said be a thyroid problem. Scalp infections such as ringworm cause loss of hair as well. 

Tips to reduce Hair fall: 

1. Massaging some warm olive, coconut or canola oil into the scalp can help. 
2. Application of natural juices like garlic, onion or ginger juice can help falling hair. 
3. Massaging your scalp for a few minutes every day encourages circulation. This keeps hair follicles alive and prevents hair fall. Do follow these tips to reduce hairfall.
What is essential to keep your hair healthy?
1. Protein:

A low protein diet can be a big reason why you suffer from hair loss and why your hair doesn’t shine with health. 90 percent of the hair is made up of protein. So ensure that you have a protein rich diet.

2. Vitamin C:

Vitamin C is yet another anti-oxidant, which helps the production of collagen, which supports hair follicles .It, also keeps blood vessels in the scalp healthy. Include fruits like papaya, strawberry, oranges, berries, guavas to give a good dose of Vitamin C to the body.

3. Vitamin A:

Vitamin A encourages hair growth hair .Include broccoli, papaya, carrots, mango, spinach etc. in your diet. These have a lot of anti-oxidants which also promote healthy hair.

4. Iron:

Iron deficiency can be named as one of the main reasons behind hair fall in women. Iron helps carry oxygen to the hair follicles, hence the lack of it cause hair to become life less and dull. So load up on iron rich foods like spinach, egg yolks, oysters, salmon, tuna whole grains, dried fruits etc.

Apart from these include foods rich in sulfur, Vitamin B and Zinc in your diet. A balanced diet can help you achieve your dream of long and lustrous hair.
