Dixie D’Amelio has come under fire for sharing a TikTok of herself dancing to audio of YouTuber Trisha Paytas rapping the N-word in NWA’s ‘F**k The Police’ — just days after being accused of being ‘rude’ and ‘disrespectful’ to her family’s personal chef.
The 19-year-old influencer and her 16-year-old sister Charli have been embroiled in a public feud with Trisha, but her attempt to call out the 32-year-old with the clip last Thursday backfired.
In the video, Dixie has a bright smile on her face as she enthusiastically dances to Trisha rapping the N-word, but instead of people getting angry about her nemesis using the racial slur, they slammed her for thinking ‘racism is funny.’

Bad idea: Dixie D’Amelio, 19, took to TikTok on Thursday to share a video of herself smiling while dancing to YouTuber Trisha Paytas, 32, rapping the N-word in NWA’s ‘F**k The Police’
Not a good look: The influencer’s plan to have people call out Trisha for using the racial slur backfired when she was accused of ‘weaponizing’ racism
‘I couldn’t find the sound for this dance so I chose a random one. Hope that’s okay!! Anyways let’s get back to the RENEGADE!!’ she captioned the since-deleted video.
YouTuber and beauty influencer James Charles, who is also feuding with Trisha, commented on the clip, telling Dixie to ‘get her,’ referring to their mutual enemy.
As she faced backlash, Dixie explained in the comments that the point she was trying to make was proven, and she didn’t want to ‘promote a racist sound.’
‘I made my point. It’s done. It’s over. And Charli is a queen. Goodnight,’ she said.
Trisha, who has a history of being problematic, responded on Twitter, pointing out that the audio Dixie used was old.
‘@dixiedamelio I said this 10 years ago and have since apologized numerous times,’ she wrote. ‘U danced and smiled to it YESTERDAY! where’s ur apology ?? Not cool in 2020 girl.’
Intense: Trisha has been publicly feuding with Dixie and her sister Charli, 16, since last week
Hitting back: Trisha, who has a history of being problematic, responded on Twitter, pointing out that the audio Dixie used was old, and she had already apologized for it
Dixie faced fierce backlash over the video as critics accused her of ‘weaponizing’ and trivializing racism.
‘It’s 2020. A white girl used the N word with a smile to hurt another white girl. Are you kidding? Racism at its core,’ one person tweeted.
‘Dixie D’Amelio dancing to Trisha saying the N word or whatever.. and she smiling i- b***hhh you think racism is funny,’ another commented.
‘B***h are you dumb, like really?’ someone else asked. ‘Weaponizing racism against the black community for a petty beef is never okay. You’re not sorry, you just thought everyone would laugh with you. The only point you made is that you’re no better than the next.’
Dixie later deleted the TikTok video and apologized on Twitter.
Backlash: Dixie and Charli were also recently slammed for their appalling table manners and ‘rude’ treatment of their personal chef Aaron May in their first Dinner with the D’Amelios video
Angry: Critics accused Dixie of thinking ‘racism is funny’ and ‘weaponizing’ it for her personal gain. Dixie later deleted the TikTok video and apologized on Twitter
‘I posted a TikTok with the intention of making a point that didn’t need to be made,’ she wrote. ‘I took it down and I sincerely apologize for posting it in the first place and am so thankful for everyone. I’m wishing you all a great weekend, and thank you again for the love and support.’
Trisha started a feud with the sisters last week when she joined a number of critics in slamming the Dixie and Charli for their treatment of their personal chef in their family’s first ‘Dinner with the D’Amelios’ video on YouTube.
The TikTok stars sat down with their parents, Marc and Heidi, and their first mystery guest, James. The episode had been trending on YouTube after it was shared last Monday, but many people were less than impressed with what they saw.
Throughout the dinner, Charli and Dixie made faces and gagged in response to their chef Aaron May’s offerings. Charli later asked for ‘Dino nuggets’ and complained about not having 100 million followers, which didn’t sit right with some fans.
Meanwhile, Dixie ran outside to throw up after dramatically eating a snail that was in the traditional paella.
Start: Trisha was among the people who criticized the sisters for their actions in their new YouTube series Dinner with the D’Amelios, which featured James Charles as the mystery guest
Seriously? During the dinner, Dixie bit into the snail and started to gag at the table before running outside to throw up
Spoiled? While eating, Charli rudely asked out loud: ‘Do we have any Dino nuggets?’ She also complained about not reaching 100 million followers by the end of the year
Charli, who reigns supreme as TikTok’s most-popular star, had more than 99.5 million followers as of Wednesday evening. That number then plummeted to 98.5 million in one day before rising again.
While Charli was hemorrhaging followers, Trisha took to TikTok to share reaction videos of herself commenting on footage from the family dinner.
James, 21, stuck up for Charli amid the backlash and called out Trisha, tweeting: ‘This Charli situation is NOT sitting right with me… 100M followers in one year & y’all expect her to know how to be a perfect role model?
‘Death threats because she’s a picky eater & made a joke about a milestone? 30+ year olds dragging someone half their age? Feels familiar,’ he added, seemingly referencing the scandals and backlash he has faced in the past.’
‘Imagine always being the victim in every situation, James how do u do it ? How r u so perfect?’ she responded to James. ‘I know it’s easy to deflect to me now. But imagine being JAMES CHARLES-More hated than even Trisha Paytas whew, what a feat. ps stop stealing small creators art, clothing, mu looks etc.’
Add insult to injury: While Charli was hemorrhaging followers, Trisha took to TikTok to share reaction videos of herself commenting on footage from the family dinner
Hitting back: James defended Charli while calling out Trisha for criticizing someone who is half her age
Yikes: Trisha then turned on James, 21, and accused him of ‘predatory’ behavior because he is friends with teenagers
Drama: Trisha urged her followers to ‘cancel’ James, saying he has ‘superiority’ issues
‘Someone wrangle these poor girls’: The YouTuber also questioned why Dixie and Charli’s parents or management team aren’t stepping in
Just no: James responded to Trisha’s accusations, saying: ‘To insinuate that the relationship between Charli and I is anything other than just a friendship is absolutely disgusting’
Trisha continued to tear into James in a series of defamatory tweets and accused him of predatory behavior because he hangs out with 16-year-old Charli.
‘Definitely have always said no one deserves to be cancelled,’ she wrote. ‘Everyone has room for growth/positive influence. Except James Charles. Please cancel him. He a forever victim with a superiority conflict, has never said sorry his whole life/hangs out with an underage girl regularly.’
James didn’t reply to Trisha on Twitter but later filmed a TikTok video denying her suggestions about his relationship with Charli.
‘I didn’t want to respond to this because I didn’t want to give Trisha the attention that she’s clearly craving. However, I have now been accused of being a child groomer and this is not an accusation that I’m going to take lightly,’ he said.
‘To insinuate that the relationship between Charli and I is anything other than just a friendship is absolutely disgusting.’
Despite all the backlash and drama, Charli gained all her followers back and then some. On Sunday morning the teen celebrated becoming the first person to reach 100 million followers.
