Woman horrifies internet after sharing video of her boyfriend making tea

A video of a boyfriend’s unorthodox method of making tea has gone viral, racking up over 2 million views in less than two days, as social media users branded it ‘a crime’.

Holly Harley, a commissioning editor from London, took to her Twitter account over the weekend after witnessing her partner making a brew.

However much to her horror, he began by adding sugar to the cup, then pouring in hot water, milk, and finally dunking in a teabag.

Posting the controversial video, Holly wrote: ‘My boyfriend has made the worst video in the world’.

Her post quickly racked up thousands of likes, retweets and comments, with people questioning why her boyfriend had not put in the teabag first.

Slamming his sequence in the video, one follower wrote:  This is horrible. Please say that was immediately poured down the sink’.

Another joked: ‘Presumably ‘ex boyfriend’ now?’, while one said: ‘That’s not tea’.

Agreeing, one added: ‘No, it is a criminal offence’, while remarking on Britain’s reputation for a love of tea, another said: ‘The fact that this is happening in the UK makes it 100 times worse.’

‘It’s a crime against humani-tea’, one witty follower joked.

Elsewhere one pleaded for the offending boyfriend to be stopped, writing: ‘Please Holly, do not allow him to make tea for your guests, unless they all of course like ‘weak’ tea!’

Remarking on the watery  look of the drink, a follower remarked: ‘That’s not weak tea. That’s my brush water after I have a full day of painting.’

And replying to a confused American follower, who failed to grasp the outrage, one explained: It’s the order. You’re meant to put tea and sugar in, then water, then add your milk after. He put sugar and milk in and made sugarmilkhotwater. THEN put the tea bag in. IT’S ANARCHY.’

Elsewhere one controversial folllower claimed it was possible to put the milk in first, but only if the tea had already been brewed.

‘Only put milk in first when the tea has already been brewed in a pot first though – not milk before putting a teabag in’, they explained.

And some American followers claimed you wouldn’t be able to taste the difference, regardless in which order the tea was made.

Hitting back, a follower said: ‘Maybe you can’t taste a difference based on the order but that tea bag was in there for like two seconds.. it’s just sugary warm milk’.
